United States, Marian McQuade of Oak Hill,
West Virginia has been recognized by the U.S. Senate as the founder of the National Day of grandparents. McQuade has made itself the goal of
educating the youth in the society about the important contribution made by older throughout history. She also urged young people “take” my grandfather, and not just one day a year, but for a lifetime.
