Wake Forest:Stanford purists were probably shocked when the Cardinal came out dressed in black jerseys and black pants Saturday night, as if they were going through a Goth phase.

The black suits seemed able to last, starting all the time for a football match Stanford – 8:15 pm – because ESPN took that slot. Cardinal enjoy the late start and black rags so they crushed Wake Forest 68-24 at Stanford Stadium.

It was actually 8:25 at the start of the game, so it was 11:25 EDT to visitors from North Carolina. By 10 pm – 1 am, or on their body clock – Stanford (3-0) was 42-10 half-time lead and the Cardinal offense virtually unchecked.

Andrew Luck completed 17-of-23 passes for 207 meters and 4 touchdowns. In addition, he ran for 69 yards, most of his impressive run touchdown. He was mercifully lifted Alex Lucas at the end of the third quarter, as stocks took over.
