When it first began, “Jersey” was a delightful series about the misadventures of a group of lovable idiots. But the idiots aren’t that lovable anymore—all they do is screech and sneer and take swipes at one another. They inhabit a show that’s now simultaneously boring and exhausting to watch. We can’t really blame Angelina for decamping to Staten Island and telling the rest of the crew to eff off, even though there are just three episodes left in Season 2.
On the other hand, Angie, too, is pretty horrible; we don’t feel a great deal of sympathy for her. You may remember that she capped off last week’s ep by hitting Mike in the face. The Situation, for his part, is shocked by what Angelina has done: “Everybody knows that I’m the glue of this family, and I try to keep everybody together,” he explains. Punching him in the kisser, then, is tantamount to giving Grandma an atomic wedgie, or something.
