Wear Purple October 20:September was a terrible month for teens in the LGBT community, at least six suicides due to bullying or against gay LGBT bullying and abuse. GLAAD announced in a statement on its website that people around the world can show their support for teens who took their lives, and to oppose gay bullying by wearing purple for spirit day.
